Mission
The unit empowers individual students and staff to take control of their destiny and function productively. It does this by working with clients collaboratively to equip them with the necessary skills and attitudes to realise their dreams. The services at the Unit are delivered in a caring, friendly, and non-judgmental environment.
Overview
We would like to extend a warm welcome to the Guidance & Counselling Unit. You may obtain information about the Counselling Unit as well as useful resources for a number of challenges you or someone you know may be battling with. The Unit supports students with various counselling and behavioural health issues, such as individual and group counselling, academic counselling, stress management and recovery assistance, crisis intervention, and psychological screening and assessment. Additionally, the Unit offers free consultations to faculty and staff struggling with individual and career matters, thus enhancing the overall health of all the Technical University community members.

Future Plans
- Formation of Wellness Ambassador’s Club
The wellness ambassadors will be students of Dr. Hilla Limann Technical University interested in wellbeing issues and in developing peer leadership skills. The wellness Ambassadors will voluntarily support the Counselling Directorate with outreaches, new student orientations, and raising awareness of the Counselling Directorate’s activities to the general student body.
- Creation of a career unit
This unit under the Directorate will guide students in the area of career choice and job placement. It is also expected to furnishes students with information on job opportunities, consideration of services, prospects of training etc.
